Located opposite the pretty Blythswood Square, the Kimpton Hotel is well-located for tourists on a short stay who are looking to be within walking distance to Glasgow’s main sights and attractions. CitizenM is located in one of the best areas of Glasgow, near the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. The common areas are filled with cute and quirky music memorabilia. The rooms are comfortable but compact and perfectly clean. The highlight would be the staff who are known to be exceptionally friendly and helpful. The hotel is working towards being more sustainable through recycling, avoiding single-use plastics and by promoting local artists.
Address: 278 West George Street, Glasgow, UK
Malmaison has some of the best boutique hotels in the UK so I’m surprised to see that the Malmaison Glasgow isn’t particularly highly-rated. The low rating can be attributed to the hotel’s location and the poor value for money. However, I find it a little strange as the hotel is very central although I do agree it can be a bit pricey if you are booking during a busy period. Nonetheless, the Malmaison is a stylish hotel and is a good alternative to those recommended above.
